Alexander the Great, king of Macedonia, was a mythical ruler who, during twelve of the twenty years of his reign, was able to conquer the Persian Empire, the Asia Minor until Egypt and beyond, Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, and up to the limits of China. He was greatly loved and respected by the people, and to him all sorts of homages and honors were dedicated.
