Cina | Bracciale ‘vintage’ in celluloide

69,20  34,60

Bangle Bracelet – 1.3 cm thickness – typical model of the 70s, made of celluloid as a reproduction of the finest materials such as ivory.
The celluloid was born in the United States in the 60’s of 1800, and it is a synthetic material made from a combination of nitrocellulose and camphor.
Its appearance is polished, hard but elastic and flexible at the same time, easy to melt – thereby it is an ideal material to shape and mold – and even carving.
Another important feature of the celluloid is its ability to reproduce natural materials strictly prohibited on the market, such as ivory and tortoiseshell to name a few.
With this new plastic are executed a variety of objects, from cinematographic films to toys, household items and health services, or jewelry.
The production of the latter began at the end of 1800 but it was only from the ’40s of the last century that the jewelry-making in this versatile material has started to increase.
This bracelet, modern lines and basic in its shape, is one of the most loved by women all over the world: the classic bangle which can be worn at any time and in any occasion.
