Budda artigianato tibetano – Sakyamuni Buddha, si ritiene che Gautam Buddha Shakyamuni abbia avuto 550 incarnazioni. Molti Budda precedenti e altri Budda che dovevano ancora venire sono conosciuti sempre come Budda. Per distinguerlo da tutti gli altri Budda, è stato chiamato Sakyamuni (Il leone del clan Sakya), figlio del re Suddhodana e della regina Mayadevi. Nacque il 563 a.C. a Lumbini, nella parte occidentale del Nepal. Aveva raggiunto ‘Bodhi’ -conoscenza o risveglio spirituale- dopo 6 anni di digiuno e meditazione e poi fu chiamato ‘Buddha’ perché era ‘l’illuminato’. Morì all’età di 80 anni a Kusinagara.

To distinguish from all other Buddhas, he has been called Sakyamuni (The lion of Sakya clan), the son of king Suddhodana and queen Mayadevi. He was born on 563 B.C. at Lumbini, western part of Nepal. He had attained ‘Bodhi’ or knowledge after 6 years in fasting and meditation and then he was called ‘Buddha’ as he was ‘the enlightened one’. He died at the age of 80 at Kusinagara.
