Arte Megalitica Cultura Boyne – Irlanda

L’Arte Megalitica qui rappresentata risale alle popolazioni della ‘Cultura Boyne’, vissute in Irlanda più di 5000 anni fa e per l’appunto nella valle del Boyne, che costruirono il Bruig o ‘Spirit Temples’, ora importante sito archeologico del neolitico. I disegni riprodotti in questi pendenti sono quelli originariamente incisi o scavati nelle rocce, ed ognuno è espressione delle loro conoscenze astronomiche legate a significati sacri e spirituali.
I disegni qui riprodotti sono tratti dalle incisioni ritrovate su un Cairn, costruzioni realizzate con massi impilati a secco e di dimensioni molto variabili. Questo Cairn è l’unico che si trova nel sud-ovest dell’Irlanda, a Cape Clear Island: è orientato verso il sole del solstizio d’estate e sorge su Garrigfadda, una delle cime più sacre della contea di Cork, posta ad occidente.
Il pendente è fornito di catenina lunga 45 cm.

Megalithic Art is found in association with the monuments of the people know as the ‘Boyne Culture’ who lived in Ireland over 5000 years ago, and built the Bruig or ‘Spirit Temples’ of Boyne Valley. The designs that are carved on the stones is richly symbolic and very sacred and spiritual expression of astronomical motions.
Decorated stone from the Boyne Style Megalithic Passage Cairn on Cape Clear Island. The Cairn is the only example of its type to be found in the south west of Ireland. The Passage Cairn is oriented towards the Summer Solstice Sun which rises over Carrigfadda, one of the most sacred peaks of West Cork.
The pendant comes with 45 cm chainlet.
