Stupendo oggetto di Artigianato artistico Huichol che riproduce l’uccello Thunderbird, nella mitologia di molte popolazioni indigene native americane considerato massima espressione soprannaturale di potere e forza.
L’anima del manufatto è in legno rivestito di cera sulla quale manualmente sono attaccate le perline di vetro colorate (lavorazione tipica dell’arte degli Huicholes) che lo disegnano, dipingono e valorizzano rendendolo un oggetto vivace, significativo e di buon auspicio; da collezionista. Tenere lontano da fonti caloriche.
I Huicholes sono un gruppo etnico che vive nel Messico centro-occidentale, in una regione impervia che interessa più stati. Proprio per aver sempre abitato territori di difficile accesso gli Huicholes sono riusciti spesso ad evitare lo scontro con altre popolazioni limitrofe o colonizzatrici, sia locali che europei (spagnoli), ed hanno mantenuto nel corso dei tempi i loro usi, costumi e credenze antichissime, che oggi ci fanno conoscere attraverso il loro originale artigianato.

Marvelous object of Huichol artistic craftsmanship that reproduces the Thunderbird bird, considered maximum supernatural expression of power and strength in the mythology of many Native American indigenous tribes.
The artefact is made of wood covered with wax – typical processing of the art of the Huicholes – on which the colored glass beads that draw and paint it, making it a lively, meaningful and good omen object; a collector’s item. Keep it away from heat sources.
The Huicholes are an ethnic group living in central-western Mexico, in an impervious region that affects many states. Precisely because of they have always inhabited areas hardly to access, the Huicholes have often managed to avoid wars with other neighboring or colonizing populations, both local and European (Spaniards), and have maintained over the centuries their ancient customs and beliefs. Nowadys they let us know them through their original craftsmanship.
